It’s very tough to run a restaurant now. But this place does pretty well. My preference is to come earlier before it gets too crowded. But even at 6pm, most tables are booked.
We came here for an after-dinner snack and to watch the game. The beautifully decorated restaurant had a homey and quaint feel. I loved the beautiful decoration and while, the restaurant was on the small in size, they utilized the space beautifully. Since we weren't having a full dinner, we decided to sit at the bar. Our bartender, Jason, was very friendly and nice. I ordered the Iron Skillet Shrimp for $18. I was surprised by how small the portion size was. I felt like 3 shrimp for $18 was pretty steep. I thought the shrimp and the chickpeas were different and tasty. I wasn't fond of the reddish-purple sauce on the plate. The menu said it was roasted peppers but, it reminded me of beets. I might come back again if I am in the neighborhood but, I will stick to the $30 prix fixe dinner or the happy hour special.
I’ve got a very nice service and I was put at the table immediately Oysters were delicious but I took only half dozen because of the price (18$ for 6 pieces)Not sure if they have happy hours now Also ordered octopus and enjoyed it Just one thing I was unhappy about it’s a waiting time about 25min to get oysters and 15min after to get octopus Total check was 40$ Ok for Manhattan’s restaurant with good atmosphere I didn’t take any drinks but food was definitely good and no need to lower rating for the waiting time
